Actor/Singer Bob Tella has been entertaining New England audiences ever since he was in high school. While still studying at the renowned Berklee College of Music, he performed with the local Touch of Broadway singers performing at business functions, restaurants, and holiday events throughout the Bay State. Radio listeners were also entertained while performing soda pop jingles for a major cola company.
Appearing in student films, Tella’s desire to be in front of the camera led him to pursue a career on film while still pursuing his music degree. He has appeared in several Independent and feature films, including the Academy Award winning Mystic River (2003). On the local front, Tella has guest starred with the Saugus Players, won Best Musical Direction for Stop the World I Want To Get Off for the EMACT Festival, and recently played dual roles in Grease as both Teen Angel and Vince Fontaine and currently can be seen as Cornel Willam Kabrich in the PBS special The Living Weapon.
A former student of Spiro Voloudous at the Lyric Stage Theatre and Susan Willet at Boston Casting, Tella continues his vocal studies with Mili Bermejo. He is currently honing his craft with local actress Paul Plum and actor Ken Cheeseman, who is on the faculty at Emerson College and Collinge Pickman Casting in Boston, MA |
